Defaults to 2 — leave it if you're not sure. M+ roll = 1 token · raid roll = 2; the ranking weighs value per token. (Your Nebulous Voidcore count sits with your currencies in-game.)
This is your starting point — every upgrade below is measured against this exact gear. Class, spec, armor and stat are detected automatically.

FAQ

how LootPilot works
What is LootPilot?
A free World of Warcraft bonus roll optimizer for the Midnight expansion. It shows where to spend your bonus rolls for the biggest upgrade — pulling all Mythic+ and raid loot for your spec, skipping what you already have, and ranking the gain per token. Works for DPS (via Raidbots) and healers (via QuestionablyEpic, ranked by HPS).
How does it work?
Load your character in one of three ways — sign in with Battle.net (one click, pick any character), type your Armory (region/realm/name), or paste a SimulationCraft addon export. LootPilot auto-filters the season's loot to your spec and marks what you've already rolled. For DPS & tanks, run a free one-click SimulationCraft sim in the cloud and the ranked plan lands right on the page, no copy-paste (2 sims a day logged out, more when you log in). Prefer to run it yourself? Hand the same sim setup to Raidbots Advanced and paste the report link back. Healers hand off to QuestionablyEpic's UpgradeFinder (free, no login). Either way you get a ranked, token-budget plan of the best rolls.
I'm a healer — does it work for me?
Yes. Import a healer spec and LootPilot routes you to QuestionablyEpic's UpgradeFinder — the standard healer gearing tool. Raidbots doesn't simulate healing, so DPS specs go to Raidbots and healers to QE. Copy your SimC into QE, run it, and paste the report link back — you get the same token-budget roll plan, ranked by HPS.
What are bonus roll tokens?
In Midnight, bonus rolls cost Nebulous Voidcore — 1 token for a Mythic+ item, 2 for a raid item. Enter your count, and LootPilot ranks rolls by value per token and builds the best combination you can afford.
Does it handle the Catalyst and tier sets?
Yes. LootPilot tests both the raw drop and its catalyzed form and recommends whichever is better, marking it ↻ Catalyze when catalyzing wins. The five tier slots (head, shoulders, chest, hands, legs) grant the set bonus; the other slots (waist, wrist, feet, back) are off-tier — catalyzable for their stats but no set bonus. The hover shows the exact piece you'd end up with.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Completely free. Load from Armory or paste a SimC export and everything's saved in your browser. The free one-click sim for DPS/tanks runs on our shared cloud SimulationCraft: 2 sims a day without an account, and more when you log in with Battle.net (which also saves your characters and plans across devices). Prefer to run it yourself? Use Raidbots instead — no login, no limit. Healers use QuestionablyEpic — also free, no login.
What does signing in with Battle.net do?
Three things. It lets you run more free sims than the 2 a day you get logged out. It shows a picker with all your max-level characters — no realm/name typing, and it even sees characters hidden on the Armory. And it saves your tokens, check-offs and roll plans to your account, synced across every device, so your My profile page collects every character with its latest plan — see what to roll without re-running. The optimizer and the Raidbots handoff still work without signing in.
Does LootPilot run the simulation itself?
The numbers come from real SimulationCraft — LootPilot builds the input and interprets the result. DPS/tanks get a free one-click cloud SimC run (powered by Simmit), no login needed; you can also run it yourself in Raidbots. Healer (HPS) values come from QuestionablyEpic.
Do I need an addon?
No. Sign in with Battle.net or load from the Armory and LootPilot pulls your gear & talents straight from Blizzard — no addon needed. The SimulationCraft addon is just a third option; if you use it, type /simc in-game and paste the text. One thing only the addon carries: your already-rolled items, which auto-check themselves off your list.
Is my data private?
Signed out, everything (checklist, profile, tokens) stays in your own browser — LootPilot doesn't store it. If you sign in with Battle.net, your saved roll plans are saved to your account so they're the same on every device. Your gear is loaded straight from Blizzard's official service only when you load a character, and the sims themselves run on Raidbots or QuestionablyEpic — LootPilot never runs the sim itself.
